Yes, our shipping materials are 100% plastic free. Though we don’t talk about it a lot, sustainability is a core pillar for our brand and we do our best to source environmentally friendly materials wherever possible. 

Our shipping cartons are made from FSC cardboard and are 100% recyclable. Where shipping mailers are needed, we use 100% home-compostable mailers made from biodegradable polymers and cornstarch.

Absolutely! We know nothing ruins bath time for the little ones faster than stinging eyes, so our Kids Shampoo is specially formulated to be mild, gentle, and tear-free - no fuss, no tears, just happy hair washing!

Our products are pH-balanced, made without harsh soaps, sulfates, parabens, dyes and other common skin irritants, and are packed with natural ingredients to calm, soothe and nourish delicate skin. 

There are no set rules for how often kids should wash their hair, and it depends on the activities they've been up to. We generally recommend giving hair a thorough cleanse at least twice per week to remove debris, impurities and product build-up. Although, our hair care is gentle enough to use daily, or as needed. 

Lil Smoothie® Kids Shampoo is a gentle, plant-based cleanser free from harsh foaming agents and common irritants, making it ideal for kids of all ages, babies included.

Not all shampoo is created equally! Haircare brands often design their ranges to address adult-specific hair concerns (think oil control, colour-damage, volume-add and the like). They often contain strong active ingredients, harsh detergents, silicones and other additives that are potential endocrine disruptors, allergens and skin and eye irritants.

Not only are children’s needs, hair concerns and skin barriers very different to adults, but the unnecessary additives can disrupt hormone function, trigger allergic reactions and cause dryness or irritation, especially when in regular, or prolonged contact with young, delicate skin. (Not to mention, can strip hair of essential moisture, causing dryness and damage which exacerbates tangled hair!)

Our Kids Shampoo is EDC free, sulfate & paraben-free, plant-based and formulated especially for children, with mild and gentle, botanical ingredients to address child-specific concerns (ie. Detangling!) - without the nasties.

Absolutely! We’ve received glowing feedback on our Kids Shampoo from women who are seeking Australian, natural shampoo and conditioner brands, that formulate without harsh ingredients, EDC’s, sulfates and known toxins and irritants. Our products are suitable for the whole family.

Yes, creating a sulfate-free shampoo that is mild and gentle, but provides a super-clean wash was very high on our priority list.

The job of sulfates (SLS/SLES/ALES) is to strip excess oil and debris, but they can also over-strip hair, leading to dryness and scalp irritation. Our sulfate-free shampoo uses a coconut-derived cleanser that properly cleans the hair and scalp from build-up and debris (ie. the Weetbix, face paint, Vegemite, sunscreen and whatever else they’ve accumulated) whilst nourishing strands and soothing the scalp.

Yes, we are an Australian haircare company - all our formulations are made right here in Australia, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.  

Yes, all our haircare formulations are Vegan friendly. 

At Bloom Squad, we carefully source ingredients that are either certified organic, naturally-derived, nature-identical or, are proven safe and provide excellent benefits. For example, strictly speaking, Pro-vitamin B5 (also known as panthenol) isn't classified as a "natural" ingredient. But, it's proven safe and highly beneficial to hair and scalp health, providing deep hydration, strength, improved shine and reduced frizz, making it a valuable ingredient in hair care products. We also use a proven safe, gentle preservative complex to inhibit the growth of bacteria and organisms (because, ew - that's not the kind of "natural" we want!)
